Dr Tej’s interest in learning did not begin in academia. He left school at sixteen after attending three different schools, struggling to understand how learning was meant to work for him. That experience shaped a lifelong commitment to making learning more inclusive, practical, and human.

Rather than focusing on labels or deficits, his work has centred on understanding how perception, behaviour, and confidence shape performance, and how those elements can be taught, not assumed.
